Packing Cool

This weekend I will be packing for a real winter in China. For all you Angelinos, that means a biting 10 degrees, not a beachy 70. I will stick to packing light by packing smart without losing my packing cool.

I have this theory that ribbed clothes are insulating. The air is trapped in the space between the ribs and helps insulate the body like a thermos. Or am I thinking of the puffer jacket?
